One of our main sources for the complete uniform, is the mobilisation-order from 1808. Each soldier are ordered to carry these items:
"... kaskiet(skicap), Surtout (greatcoat), 2 pair white trousers, 2 new shirts, 2 pairs new stockings, 2 pairs ski boots, 2 pairs new summer shoes with buckles, both pairs gaiters, neck stock, sabre and waist belt with frog, the best pair of birch skies and stick, Sling for the rifle, holster and leather rucksack, bread bag, necessary cleaning equipment etc." later added:" the blue overall- trousers, and of course woollen gloves..."
