This is the 18.2 mm musket M/ca. 1750 which is shortened down to the same length as the ski troopers rifles. They were ment to be used during the daily service and drill to save the expensive rifles from tear and wear. The guns were given new front sights, and had only two thimbles remaining. The musket M/ca. 1748 was also modified to drill musket and shortened the same way.
